Welcome to Art In The County!


The organizing committee for Art in the County is pleased to announce that this year’s show will be held at the Picton Armoury, 206 Main St (enter off Mary St., use Studio X entrance), Picton beside the Picton Public Library. We are excited about this new venue as it is more centrally located; we look forward to welcoming you to this new space and continuing to showcase the incredible artistic talent of Prince Edward County.

This year also marks the 25th Anniversary of Art in the County. As our plans take shape we will be announcing special events to mark this important milestone. This year’s show will be held from June 22 to July 8, 2018.

Announcing The Community Arts Builder Award
April 19, 2018

The year 2018 marks the 25th anniversary of Art in the County! To celebrate this occasion, Art in the County and the Prince Edward County Arts Council are launching The Community Arts Builder Award. Sponsored by Laurie Gruer, Sam Simone & Monica Klingenberg of Chestnut Park Real Estate Limited Brokerage, the award recognizes an individual who has enriched community life in The County through the arts. The award, which includes a $250 monetary gift, will be given at the opening night ceremonies of Art in The County on June 21st.

Art in the County and the Arts Council would like to invite the community to nominate individuals who they believe are deserving of this award. All nominations must be submitted by June 8th, 2018. Submissions may be submitted on-line or can be mailed directly to the Arts Council.

The Community Arts Builder Award recognizes an individual who has enriched community life in Prince Edward County through the arts. During this inaugural year, the award will focus on the visual arts.

Each nomination must include one (1) nominator and detailed information about the nominee as outlined in the submission form. Only fully completed submissions will be considered. All community members are invited to submit nominations. Nominators may submit more than one nomination.

NOTE: Members of the Board of PEC Arts Council or of the Arts in the County Steering Committee are not eligible to submit nominations.
