Welcome to Art In The County!
The organizing committee for Art in the County is pleased to announce that this year’s show will be held at the Picton Armoury, 206 Main St (enter off Mary St., use Studio Ex entrance), Picton beside the Picton Public Library. We are excited about this new venue as it is more centrally located; we look forward to welcoming you to this new space and continuing to showcase the incredible artistic talent of Prince Edward County.
This year also marks the 25th Anniversary of Art in the County. As our plans take shape we will be announcing special events to mark this important milestone. This year’s show will be held from June 22 to July 8, 2018.
Winner of 1st Community Arts Builder Award
June 22, 2018
At last night’s Opening Reception of the 25th Annual Art in the County Juried Exhibition and Sale, the inaugural Community Arts Builder Award was given to Peter and Alice Mennacher, Owners of Blizzmax Gallery.
Sponsored by Laurie Gruer, Sam Simone, and Monica Klingenberg of Chestnut Park Real Estate Brokerage Limited, the Community Arts Builder Award recognizes individuals who have enriched community life through the arts.
The selection committee found it very difficult to select among the many very qualified candidates, but are “delighted to recognize the years of service, and both the breadth of commitment and support that Peter and Alice Mennacher have given to the visual arts community”.
