Juror Comments: Lovely palette with a strong sense of design with beautiful balance. The Jurors liked the risk taken in leaving the upper edge simple.
About the Artist:
My tapestry weavings are created with frame looms, and made with a variety materials including alpaca and merino wool, roving, and acrylic blends. My whimsical, wavy style is inspired by the beauty of the ocean and love of vibrant colours.
I have exhibited my work at retail shops and galleries in Toronto, including a group show at the OCAD Continuing Studies gallery. I’ve also created numerous commission pieces for clients and local businesses. I currently live in Ameliasburgh with my photographer husband Dean, where we enjoy the peaceful countryside of our century home.
