Decimation of Democracy by Indra Dosanjh Mixed media, 22.5" x 20".5", framed
Indra Dosanjh is driven by an insatiable curiosity to explore culture, people and nature. In the early days, she worked solely with pencils and charcoals, but eventually found joy in using colours and moved to figurative paintings using oils. Her latest work moves towards a figurative, expressionist style with mixed media that include oils, acrylics and water colours. Dosanjh's nomad life presents itself in her work. She grew up in East Africa and moved to the U.K. in her early teens, and came to Canada in her early twenties. In 2016, she left her career in Technology and Information Management Consulting to focus on her art in Prince Edward County.
Dosanjh was the recipient of the 2018 People’s Choice Award, Art in the County.
