About the Artist:

My early life was spent in Montreal where I obtained a BA from Loyola College/Concordia, followed by degrees from The University of British Columbia (Library Science) and Carleton University (Art History).

My professional life as a librarian was spent working in Ottawa while raising two children with my husband Gerard.

After retirement and moving to The County in 2007, I was able to spend more time on my art. Essentially self taught, I have participated in several courses and workshops in Ontario, British Columbia and Florida. My work has been accepted in over 15 juried shows and has won several awards.

I am an acrylic painter and my work is inspired by landscapes imagined, remembered or photographed. I also create large geometric abstracts. Painting for me is a rewarding process combining intent, influence and intuition.

I presently divide my time between Prince Edward County and Bradenton, Florida and my work is held in private collections in both Canada and the United States.
